Description

The El Progreso Memorial Library in Uvalde is one of the oldest established libraries in the region (organized in 1903), so it’s only fitting that it’s also home to the Weisman Museum of Southwest Texas! The museum consists of 1,600 square feet dedicated to exhibits that highlight important aspects of the history of Uvalde and its surrounding countryside and communities through photos, informational displays, and artifacts. The Weisman Museum of Southwest Texas is open during regular library hours, which are Monday to Thursday 10 AM to 6 PM, Friday 10 AM to 4 PM, and Saturday 10 AM to 2 PM. Admission is free.
