Lyndon B. Johnson, the 36th President of the United States, was born and raised in the Johnson City and Stonewall area, and he spent the better part of his life here, even establishing the “Texas White House” at his ranch! The national park devoted to his life and ancestry is a complex that includes his boyhood home, the original Johnson City settlement, the LBJ Ranch, and the family cemetery where he and his beloved Lady Bird are laid to rest.
