Hands down, the Vintage Spartan at Country Accents is one of the most unique and fun vacation rentals in Pipe Creek we have to offer! This lovingly-restored 50's era trailer used to be the elite way to travel the US in its day, but now it's your cozy and sweet home away from home in the vistas of the Hill Country! With the fresh food of the Backyard Bistro and the Country Accents Antiques store right here on the grounds, you'll have an awesome Texas getaway without having to leave the property.
After World War II, Americans took to the road, with the Depression behind them and a brand-new highway system to explore. Millionaire J. Paul Getty recognized a need, and built the Spartanette trailers as literal mobile homes for his well-to-do customers. Since the Spartanettes were quite expensive for their time, they're considered rare today, which makes this weekend getaway spot even more exciting. It's a nostalgic trip to a well-loved era in our country's history, decked out with modern conveniences, of course!
The Vintage Spartan has a nice outdoor dining area, along with a small deck, where you can take in the Hill Country mountain views and a meal, or just relax with a soothing sip of wine. Nothing says Texas cuisine like BBQ, and you'll have your choice of an electric grill, which is private to your trailer, or the gas and charcoal grills that are shared with nearby cabins. Don't feel like cooking? The Backyard Bistro offers delicious snacks and meals with fresh ingredients!
Inside the Vintage Spartan, believe it or not, are three comfy beds, a full bathroom with a tub and shower combo, a kitchen, and a living area! The trailer sleeps up to three, and all bed and bath linens are provided for your stay. The kitchen here combines the conveniences of yesterday and today, with a vintage fridge, stove, and coffee grinder, and you'll also find more modern extras such as a Keurig coffee maker, a microwave, and a blender. Plenty of cookware and serving ware and utensils are on hand here, too. The trailer also has a TV with DVD player, and a library of DVDs to enjoy. The trailer is kept comfy with rooftop AC and heat.
The Vintage Spartan is perfect for a romantic getaway, or a close gathering of friends! We're proud to offer this fascinating rental to our guests; please contact Backroads Reservations for availability and booking.
