See the Texas Hill Country at its astounding best in an elevated ranch setting! The Miracle Springs Ranch Homestead offers a cozy country home setting for up to six people in a private location-though not too private, since towns like Leakey and Vanderpool are just minutes away. There are two lakes on this 754-acre ranch, and natural attractions such as Garner State Park, tubing on the Frio River, and the Lost Maples State Natural Area are all within a 30-minute drive from your "home base" here.

The Hill Country in all its splendor is yours! The Homestead is an ideal starting point for a motorcycle or auto tour, with miles of scenic, winding roads surrounding the property. For those who love nature, hiking, fishing, you name it-the spacious ranch, along with all the natural attractions close by, sets the stage for everything you love about the great outdoors. And even though the ranch setting is private and secluded, the shops and cuisine of Vanderpool and Leakey are conveniently close.

The length of the Homestead is lined by a shaded porch, with patio chairs provided. Also on the property are a swimming pool with hot tub, and a gathering area with a BBQ pit, fire pit, and outdoor cooking station. Some of these outdoor features are shared with the Lodge next door; for a fully private experience with room for even larger groups, both the Lodge and Homestead can be booked together-just ask us for details! Feel free to hike the grounds, stargaze, and watch wildlife-and try your hand at fishing in the two private lakes here.

The light-paneled interior has lots of windows, which let in the outdoor beauty and fill the space with a welcoming and airy ambiance. There is a roomy living space and dining area, and a fully equipped kitchen with serving and cooking utensils included. The three bedroom Homestead has sleeping accommodations for up to six people, and there are two full bathrooms with both tub and showers available. All bed and bath linens are provided. The house has cable TV with a DVD player, Wifi, and central air and heating for year-round comfort.

The lofty perch of the Miracle Springs Ranch Homestead will give you a new appreciation of the Hill Country-and the fun features and amenities here will entice you to visit again! Get a hold of us here at Backroads Reservations; we'd be more than happy to help you book your next adventurous and relaxing vacation.

Biker Rallies of Texas

Supporting and boosting local businesses and events is at the very heart of what we do at Backroads Reservations! The good folks at Biker Rallies of Texas are the devoted organizers of the most popular motorcycle rallies in the Hill Country. With major rallies in the spring and fall, they work nonstop to assure safety, organization, great memories, and a good time is had by all attending! They’ve got their start in 2000, when they arranged rallies in Liberty County and Kerrville, Texas. Two years later, they found their permanent home in Bandera. Let’s take a look at the two major events they currently host.

Boerne’s Hill Country Mile

In the hustle of modern American life, it’s easy to lose sight of an important cultural fact: it’s difficult to get everything done on your daily to-do list without a car. Too many towns have been designed with outwardly-expanding sectors of commerce that put one business or attraction miles away from another. The larger the size of the town, the more true this adage seems to be.

Best Airbnb experience ever! Perfect for our family of 5 on a long weekend get away. The property is stunning, absolutely beautiful. The views are pure Texas Hill Country -- a lovely blue water lake, views of the rolling hills, countless deer and wild turkeys roaming free. And the hosts -- well, they're one of the main reasons this place is so special. They're instantly warm, welcoming and accommodating. You will love this place!

Words cannot express how amazing this place is and pictures truly do not do it justice. This is definitely a “Golden Acorn” as my dad would say when he would find a little gem! To start off the booking was extremely easy and the questions I had prior to arrival were answered very quickly. The beauty of this place started at the top of the hill when you have your first glimpse of the Miracle Ranch lakes. We were in awe and stopped to take pictures. We stayed in the Homestead and it was absolutely beautiful. The living room and kitchen were very spacious and the couches were super comfortable and the décor is lovely. The kitchen was stocked with all the items we needed except for a blender which we brought ourselves. The beds and linens were extremely comfortable and we all slept great! I believe the hot water heater is an on demand unit so when we took showers the water would get cold after about 5 minutes and then would get warm again after a couple of minutes, but that was such a minor issue that it really was not something that bothered any of us. There are TV’s in each room and Wi-Fi in the house that was kind of spotty but I cannot say that I was unhappy about that! It was good to disconnect a little from the outside world. The pool was awesome and has a concrete diving board above the 16 foot deep end of the pool. The temperature of the pool was perfect. We had every intention of taking some day trips to shop, horseback ride and float the river but once we arrived we never left. Miracle Ranch had everything we needed. Two crystal clear spring fed lakes that are stocked with Crappie, Bass and Catfish. We swam in both the lakes and the pool and warmed up in the hot tub as the sun started to go down. We also hiked, kayaked and canoed and caught and released dozens of fish! This was a wonderfully relaxing vacation and Megan and Anthony were so amazingly responsive, helpful, sweet, kind and adorable! This is definitely a place I would come back to again and I highly recommend it. We all loved it. ❤ ?❤️

The location is unparalleled and definitely exceeded our expectations. It so beautiful on the property and there is so much to explore, we really didn’t feel the need to leave. We did go to Garner State Park but honestly the homestead’s location is more beautiful. The hosts are a welcoming and generous family. We cannot wait to come back!!! Thank you for your incredible hospitality and for helping celebrate my mother-in-law’s bday...her favorite memory might be counting with Henry :)”

If you’re looking for scenic views, this is your place. We took advantage of the trails, elevation and walking sticks to hike with our dogs. The pool/ hot tub and outdoor kitchen is huge and great for the entire family. Super comfy furniture and a large front porch to enjoy the view. We also appreciated the thoughtful amenities like tea, coffee and shower soaps. We are making this place our new anniversary destination tradition. Wow! Thank you for opening your home to us. What a beautiful property to connect with nature. We also appreciated the thoughtful amenities like tea, coffee and shower soaps. We are already looking forward to our trip back next year!

We stayed here with our 2 children ( 3 & 6) and they wanted to fish the entire time. There is plenty to do here and we will be coming back.
