Biker Rallies of Texas

Supporting and boosting local businesses and events is at the very heart of what we do at Backroads Reservations! The good folks at Biker Rallies of Texas are the devoted organizers of the most popular motorcycle rallies in the Hill Country. With major rallies in the spring and fall, they work nonstop to assure safety, organization, great memories, and a good time is had by all attending! They’ve got their start in 2000, when they arranged rallies in Liberty County and Kerrville, Texas. Two years later, they found their permanent home in Bandera. Let’s take a look at the two major events they currently host.

Boerne’s Hill Country Mile

In the hustle of modern American life, it’s easy to lose sight of an important cultural fact: it’s difficult to get everything done on your daily to-do list without a car. Too many towns have been designed with outwardly-expanding sectors of commerce that put one business or attraction miles away from another. The larger the size of the town, the more true this adage seems to be.

This is a good place for a couple to retreat for a weekend getaway if your looking to get out of the city. The horses were very friendly and the host was really accommodating.

What a great property for a low-key relaxing get-a-way! We were greeted by the owner & gifted a horseshoe. Such a friendly guy-he welcomed us & then left us to enjoy the cabin. We had everything we needed to take advantage of the beautiful scenery & nearby towns. The breezes on the porch were amazing & went perfectly with our iced drinks in the evenings. We got to feed cookies to the horses and our puppies enjoyed the acreage for roaming. Our cabin was large enough to accommodate us & we loved the comfy furniture. Lots of supplies were provided, including coffee, bottled water, paper goods, and utensils of all kind. There was a good Wi-Fi connection & Dish TV. Lots of peace & quiet, but close enough to Boerne, Pipe Creek & Bandera to go antiquing, enjoy the local cuisine, Putt-putt & the Corvette Show! We thoroughly enjoyed our accommodations & the time spent there!

We stayed at The Hideout for three nights and it was perfect. We wanted to get away and enjoy some peace and quiet and that is exactly what we were able to do. The little cabin is cute, cozy and comfortable. Butch stopped by to introduce himself on day one and even gifted us a horse shoe and left us biscuits for the horses. Waking up to the two horses waiting for their treats by the porch was amazing, not to mention all the deer roaming around. We made breakfast everyday there, found a couple of good lunch spots and grilled some steaks for dinner. Kerrville is a short drive away and we drove there to spend time at The Cross at Kerrville. It was amazing. So if peace and relaxation is what you’re looking for book it now!

You couldn't ask for a better place to enjoy your weekend. We had an amazing time! When we arrived, Butch (the owner) checked in with us and welcomed us with open arms and great hospitality. He gave us cookies to feed the 2 horses on the property in the morning, such a wonderful time having them walk up to you and feed them out of your hand. We made a total of 3 fires in the fire ring with the wood provided. Roasted some marsh mellows and had a few drinks under the stars with a great hot fire. Cooked breakfast both mornings and used the grill on the second day. Everything was supplied to us for the grill. I would totally come back again for another weekend and maybe stay 3 nights. The house was so clean and we had everything for our stay. Thanks to Butch (the owner) and Spencer (property manager) for such an enjoyable stay for me and my date, who was celebrating her 60 th birthday.

My husband and I needed a home base to visit my grandparents in Texas for a week and this place was perfect. It was so relaxing to come back to and was a breath of fresh air. The cabin is as described with all the needed basics and some added comforts as well. It was very private even with the host near by and the morning visits from the horses for treats! We did bring our dog and she fit right in as well. I would recommend that you be comfortable with horses though, but I am sure the host would work with you if you aren't because missing staying here would be a shame! There are also flood lights for when it gets dark and you need to walk the dog. I would recommend you bring a good flashlight though. We LOVED the sunrises and had our coffee on the beautiful porch with an authentically Texas landscape view. There are fans on the porch and the a/c / heater inside was on point. We mostly used the a/c but there was one cold night. Internet was also surprisingly good - 100 Mbps... If I had needed to work at all it would of been fine too. Highly recommend!

I don’t want to leave a review because I want to keep this hidden gem to our self! Absolutely loved the house. Seclusion was number one on our list and that is what we got. The house is in a huge property. The owner (Butch) lives on property but is not located anywhere near by and on the other side of the property. Butch greets you with a area calendar of events, an authentic retired horse shoe and horse cookies for the roaming, domestic horses that belong to him. The horses keep there distance but will greet you in the morning. As soon as we opened our door, there they were waiting for horse cookies! Don't mess up like us and give them all to them in one go. We should have saved some for every morning. We loved te experience! Butch tells you about the rules and then disappears for your stay. You get your own entrance to the property. Butch has his own. So you don’t have to share the drive way with anyone. Nights are dark and peaceful. The wind chime offers the cabin it’s own soundtrack. It chimes peacefully all day and night. The shower is amazing. The bed and pillows were amazing. Everything was just perfect and well thought out. The place is amazing!! It was about 60 degrees during our stay. So we opened the double doors and let the wind blow in. We sat there in the cold breeze just taking it all in. That night, we moved the table and chairs from the porch, turned on the Christmas lights Butch has around the rails, and danced under the stars. We went to buy canned soup for the fun of it and heated them up on the BBQ pit. We also had the camp fire pit going. It was dark and fun eating out of cans heated to perfection. We wish we could have stayed longer but it was time to get home to our babies. We planned this little get away for our 4 year anniversary, Dec 9th. We are beyond happy with our stay! We will be back! Loved every minute! Thank you for the last minute change in our reservation. We appreciated everything that was done for us to have a great stay. Spencer, you’re awesome!”
