Property Description

The roominess, amenities, and location of Feather Trees makes it one of the best family- and kid-friendly vacation rentals we have to offer in the Hill Country! Between the main house and the cabin, these comfy guest homes sleeps up to ten of your friends and family-it's a perfect spacious alternative to spreading your group over several separate rooms. You'll have your own private access to the Medina River, and the fun of Bandera-the Cowboy Capital of the World-is right down the road.

Deer and turkeys love to wander the grounds here, which makes the meadow between the buildings and the river perfect for nature lovers. The scenic Medina River is locally famous for its tubing, kayaking, fishing, and swimming, and you and yours will have your own private section of it to enjoy whenever you like! For those in your group who enjoy antiquing, unique cuisine, and special events, nearby Bandera will have plenty to offer them, too.

The main house features a spacious deck with generous outdoor furniture, and an outdoor sink and bar-there's even a ceiling fan on hand to create a comforting breeze. A charcoal grill and smoker will help you whip up a great Texas-style feed, and a waterfront outdoor shower stands ready at the end of an adventurous day on the river. There's ample parking here, pets are welcome, and our smoking friends are welcome to do so, as long as they're outdoors.

The centrally-heated and cooled main house provides plush sleeping arrangements for up to six people, with space for an additional four in the cabin. All bed and bath linens are provided for both properties, and the main house has a full bath with a tub and shower combo (with a half-bath in the cabin). The enormous living area in the main house-complete with a wood-burning fireplace-in tandem with the roomy dining area, is set up with ample seating for your entire crowd. The main house's kitchen features all the appliances, cookware, utensils and glasses necessary for your meals; there's even a spare fridge in the bonus room! The main house is also equipped with satellite TV and Wifi Internet service, and the entire area is served by AT&T cell coverage.

Savor the scenic walks and drives around Bandera from the luxurious and inviting setting of the guest homes of Feather Trees! Contact Backroads Reservations for more information on this Hill Country beauty.

Biker Rallies of Texas

Supporting and boosting local businesses and events is at the very heart of what we do at Backroads Reservations! The good folks at Biker Rallies of Texas are the devoted organizers of the most popular motorcycle rallies in the Hill Country. With major rallies in the spring and fall, they work nonstop to assure safety, organization, great memories, and a good time is had by all attending! They’ve got their start in 2000, when they arranged rallies in Liberty County and Kerrville, Texas. Two years later, they found their permanent home in Bandera. Let’s take a look at the two major events they currently host.

Boerne’s Hill Country Mile

In the hustle of modern American life, it’s easy to lose sight of an important cultural fact: it’s difficult to get everything done on your daily to-do list without a car. Too many towns have been designed with outwardly-expanding sectors of commerce that put one business or attraction miles away from another. The larger the size of the town, the more true this adage seems to be.

What an awesome place. the location was perfect. the private river access was a plus plus. never saw another soul out there. the wildlife was great. we had the whole river to ourselves. our dog loved it. never seen her take to the wilderness like that. we loved it. the town was close enough and the other little towns were not to far away either. bandera is a nice town.

This is a great getaway for the family that is ready to relax. The water is a short walk away,(you cannot see it from the cabin so you’ll want to explore), and they have everything you need to cook or watch TV or grill or whatever!! We will be back for sure!

First, we were surprised at the amount of linens available. Also, our young children were thoroughly entertained with all the games available to them inside the cabinets. And watching the deer eating from the feeders was sooo entertaining. The many treks to the river will forever be remembered by all of us because of all the deer making their evening trips right in front of us. Thanks for the use of your cabin. Hopefully we’ll be able to visit again soon.

The house/cabin was perfect. It was well-maintained, the deer feeder on the property attracted like 15 deer at one point, and the river access was awesome. Even in mid-June, we had the river to ourselves most of the day. The back deck was perfect for hanging out at night too. We'll definitely be back!
Rene
Great host, great cabin, great location, friendliest folks around and very close to town. 100% recommendable!

Perfect for a big group. By far the best river trip. The perfect location. The Medina river was an unexpected gem.
