If you’re looking for a scenic fresh-air oasis in Llano, consider bringing the whole family to Badu City Park! It’s right on Lake Llano (with a boat ramp for easy water access; non-motorized boats only), while at the same time is close to everything in downtown Llano. There’s a playground here, basketball courts, horseshoe pits, biking and hiking trails, and swimming and fishing are allowed on and in the lake. BBQ pits and picnic tables are set up for family cookouts, and there are two pavilions you can reserve, too! Please be aware some features of the park may be seasonal, or based on current water levels.
