The Historic Bandera General Store is housed in a historic building that’s over 100 years old, and still features the original ceiling and floors from that era. The Historic Bandera General Store respects its history with a huge selection of Texas-themed gifts and souvenirs. They’re the proud home of a 1950s-era soda fountain, one of just 11 remaining in the entire state, and they also feature hand-scooped Blue Bell ice cream. Keep your eyes peeled; if you’re lucky, you might even catch a visit from Henry, the store’s resident ghost! Honky-tonk fans will love that the legendary Arkey Blue’s Silver Dollar is found downstairs, just below this historic destination!
