Beyond boating and fishing, guests are welcome to jet ski, kayak, and canoe on the waters of Medina Lake, and there are designated swimming spaces to enjoy, too! Bandera County Medina Lake Park is pet-friendly, as long as they’re leashed and well-behaved, and there are convenient facilities for BBQ cookouts, as well. Recent drought conditions have affected lake levels here, so travelers are strongly encouraged to check the web page link provided before visiting. Summer hours (late May to early September) are 8 AM to 8 PM seven days a week; winter hours are the same hours on Saturdays and Sundays only.
