Lago Vista’s Veterans Memorial Park was established in 1999 as a salute and gesture of respect to those from the Lago Vista area who dedicated themselves to military service to our country. One of the main features of the park is its Path of Honor, which contains engraved bricks dedicated to recently-honored veterans; this is an addition to the bricks installed when the park first opened. Five granite totems in the park represent the five branches of US military service, and the entire park is overseen by a sculpture of a majestic bald eagle. There is also a gazebo on the grounds for respectful gatherings and reflection.
