Description
Right on Mason’s historic town square you’ll find the aptly-named Mason Square Museum! The fascinating exhibits here are arranged in chronological order, leading you from the Native Americans who settled the area 25,000 years ago to modern day. You’ll learn the stories of the “HooDoo War” and the McDonald Family Massacre, and about people like Robert E. Lee, who was stationed at Fort Mason before moving on to carve his name into American history. This is a self-guided tour, and the artifacts here tell stories that will engage and educate the whole family! Refer to their web page for hours of operation.
