Property Description

Two full stories of Texas beauty are yours at the Last Outpost's Ranch House! This kid-friendly vacation rental is an amazing Hill Country family gathering spot. With space that comfortably sleeps up to six people, the Ranch House is the perfect family gathering spot!  There are other great attractions within a half hour or so from here, too; take the family tubing on the Medina and Guadalupe rivers, or surround yourself in the natural beauty of the Hill Country State Natural Area. It's also a great starting point for scenic tours of the region.

Mountain views delight the eye here in every direction. With both a porch and an outdoor seating area - both of which have plenty of patio furniture - you can soak in those views in quiet comfort. You'll be greeted with a generous quantity of breakfast foods left in the house for your enjoyment in the morning, including delicious treats like bacon, eggs, sausage, pancakes, oatmeal, and coffee.

Heating and cooling units, along with ceiling fans, keep the space comfortable, and five plush beds provide dreamy sleeping accommodations for up to six people. There's a fully-appointed kitchen and a full bathroom with a shower stall, and all bed and bath linens are included during your visit. Another nice little extra is the complimentary beverages you'll find in the fridge! The TV here has cable service, as well. The house's remote location means  cell coverage can be spotty here.

Biker Rallies of Texas

Supporting and boosting local businesses and events is at the very heart of what we do at Backroads Reservations! The good folks at Biker Rallies of Texas are the devoted organizers of the most popular motorcycle rallies in the Hill Country. With major rallies in the spring and fall, they work nonstop to assure safety, organization, great memories, and a good time is had by all attending! They’ve got their start in 2000, when they arranged rallies in Liberty County and Kerrville, Texas. Two years later, they found their permanent home in Bandera. Let’s take a look at the two major events they currently host.

Boerne’s Hill Country Mile

In the hustle of modern American life, it’s easy to lose sight of an important cultural fact: it’s difficult to get everything done on your daily to-do list without a car. Too many towns have been designed with outwardly-expanding sectors of commerce that put one business or attraction miles away from another. The larger the size of the town, the more true this adage seems to be.

We had such a wonderful time we didn’t want to leave! The host was kind enough to provide some groceries for breakfast stocked in the fridge. The place was really well decorated to feel like an authentic Cowboy/cowgirl residence. I was impressed with the details! The bad was super comfy to sleep in as well. We enjoyed just walking around the property and saying hello to the longhorns too. The stars lit up the sky at night and was unbelievably beautiful!! Thank you for such a pleasant experience!

WOW!! What a beautiful place right in the middle of Texas Hill Country! The Ranch is about 15mins out of Bandera Tx... and About a 45min drive to into San Antonio and Fredericksburg. My family and I traveled from Houston from 110 and was easy to get to and not to mention the scenic drive you take to get there is so pretty and satisfying! The Ranch is located off one of the highways up a hillside with absolutely breathtaking views of the hill stops and valley’s. (You have to catch the view of the sunrise and sunset over the hilltops and then spend some time under the bright stars on the front porch) You also get views of Texas Wildlife grazing in the fields as you drive up and through the Ranch. (Animals seen on Ranch: Longhorns, Horses, Chickens, Goats, and TONS of Deer.) You also might have the pleasure and meeting the owners Ranch calico cat Ms.Kitty. You might spot her lounging in the sun on the house porch...she’s very sweet but keeps to herself. The House itself was definitely well kept and very clean. The house had a cool cowboy/Indian décor theme with accents of Wildlife displays throughout the house. It was very comfortable!! And has very Comfortable beds.... Definitely had everything you need! Even not too bad of cell service and there was tv/cable available... It really felt like home away from home! Very peaceful! And to top it all off the owners of the ranch are super nice and very helpful. If you need anything they are right there to help and we Definitely recommend backroads to all of our friends and family! This definitely is a rare gem in the middle of Texas Hill Country. And we can’t wait to go back and visit as much as we can. Thanks Backroads for an amazing weekend we enjoyed every moment there!

We had a wonderful weekend staying here. The house was even better than expected. Clean, comfortable with beautiful, rustic decor & the remote location (approx 12-15 miles from both Kerrville & Bandera) allowed us to soak up the Hill Country.

Beautifully decorated, a lot of attention to detail. Well stocked and great customer service. The animals were a fun little surprise. My 9yo enjoyed being around them and Mrs. Jones was nice enough to educate him about them and even let him help her feed them. Overall it we had a great time and it was nice getaway.

The cabin was very comfortable. The king size bed upstairs was very comfortable, and lots of neat things decorated the place. There was a hammock that I meant to use, but didn’t get to it before we left. The property is great and there’s a barbecue pit, as well as a fire pit to sit around and make s’mores, both porches have comfortable seating, and the host provided quite a bit of food items, for breakfast. Milk coffee, biscuits, sausage, eggs, cereal muffins, pancake mix, fruit.. towels and toiletries were also included. Basically, u just need to bring ur own clothes and a little more food! Great place!
