Property Description

If you're yearning for a private section of a popular Hill Country river all to yourself, the RRR Cabin on the Medina is the waterfront getaway your whole family will love! All the fun water activities the Medina's known for-tubing, fishing, swimming, and more-will be practically at your doorstep, without having to dodge traffic or crowds. This premium kid-friendly family vacation cabin is close to awesome Hill Country towns like Bandera, Medina, Pipe Creek, and Tarpley, too!

The RRR Cabin is perched on 15 acres of rural beauty just west of Medina. At this waterfront rental property, you'll have 1,800 feet of river access; the depth of the river here varies from one to eight feet. Looking for shade, but don't want to get off the river? There's a canopy set up IN the Medina, so you don't have to get out of the water! For nature lovers who want to explore, the Hill Country and Lost Maples State Natural Areas are both within a 40-mile drive of the cabin.

When you arrive, you'll likely see Sassy and Red Duke, the friendly equine "mascots" of the property! Outside the cabin, there's a picnic area, so BBQ experts can take advantage of the charcoal grill. For lighter snacking and conversation, there are two riverside fire pits, which are also fantastic spots for stargazing! You'll see plenty of wildlife; in fact, deer feeders are distributed here so they'll feel welcome. Visitors with RVs can hook up here for a reasonable fee. Smoking is allowed, but outside only, please.

Charming woodwork and accents give the climate-controlled interior of the cabin a rustic and modern feel! With the king-sized bed in the bedroom, a full-sized sleeper sofa, the RRR Cabin comfortably sleeps up to four guests. There's a neat-as-a-pin full bath with a shower here, and clean bed and bath linens are provided, too. The open floor plan in the main area includes a living area, full kitchen, and booth and bar seating. For your tech and entertainment needs, there's Wifi Internet service and a smart TV with a Firestick.

Come see how affordable and hassle-free a family vacation on the Medina River can be! Ditch the crowds and embrace river livin' at the RRR Cabin; contact Backroads Reservations today for more information!

Do you have a larger group? We have another cabin on the property, the RRR Texas Bunkhouse, that sleeps an additional 4 guests. Please check the other listing for details

Biker Rallies of Texas

Supporting and boosting local businesses and events is at the very heart of what we do at Backroads Reservations! The good folks at Biker Rallies of Texas are the devoted organizers of the most popular motorcycle rallies in the Hill Country. With major rallies in the spring and fall, they work nonstop to assure safety, organization, great memories, and a good time is had by all attending! They’ve got their start in 2000, when they arranged rallies in Liberty County and Kerrville, Texas. Two years later, they found their permanent home in Bandera. Let’s take a look at the two major events they currently host.

Boerne’s Hill Country Mile

In the hustle of modern American life, it’s easy to lose sight of an important cultural fact: it’s difficult to get everything done on your daily to-do list without a car. Too many towns have been designed with outwardly-expanding sectors of commerce that put one business or attraction miles away from another. The larger the size of the town, the more true this adage seems to be.

The RRR Cabin was a great stay for our quick Hill County getaway. The cabin is well appointed, and the AC works very well. The site is beautiful, private, and very peaceful. Easy access to the water.

It is absolutely wonderful! Great location. It is very peaceful and private, exactly what we were looking for. My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary. We brought kayaks and this was the perfect spot to practice and learn how to manuever them. It’s secluded so there weren’t tubers or other kayaks. Beautiful spot on the Medina river. Jackie and Mario are fantastic hosts! Their property is warm and inviting. Jackie brought us carrots to feed the horses. (Which was a highlight for me) We had such a fantastic and relaxing weekend. Felt right at home. We will DEFINITELY be back!! Already planning next trip. Highly recommend for couples or families!!!

I have used Backroads reservations for several times and have never been disappointed! Our last stay at RRR Ranch in Medina was the best bar far! The property owners were gracious upon our arrival, the cabin was very well maintained, and instructions were clear and easy to understand. The property is perfectly kept up, easy to find, and the water while lower than usual, provided a very relaxing respite! We will definitely be returning here again!

Amazing hosts with a cozy cabin nestled on a perfect property for a peaceful family getaway. They graciously accommodated us with a very last minute reservation after our prior reservation (a different host) had to cancel due to a plumbing issue while we were on our way there. Our host welcomed us as if we were family and made us feel very comfortable with all amenities offered during our stay. We look forward to our next visit to RRR Ranch! Thank you Backroads Reservations for helping us find this little slice of heaven and saving our weekend!
