Property Description

Many factors go into making a rental one of the top picks for family vacations in Bandera, the Cowboy Capital of the World-and the Bootlegger's Tavern House has 'em all! It's got a pretty and serene rural location, yet it's only a mile from downtown Bandera and the fun-filled waters of the Medina River. There's sleeping room for six, cable TV, central air, a seasonal swimming pool, hot tub and so much more-this pet-friendly and kid-friendly Hill Country haven will be friendly to your budget, too!

Deer roam the grounds of this tree-filled property, and the views of the Hill Country surrounding it can make it hard to believe how close it is to the night life, shopping, and great food of Bandera. Tubing, kayaking, fishing, and swimming on the Medina River is only a couple minutes away, and between the grounds of the Bootleggers Tavern House and Bandera, there's a nice selection of both city and country hikes available. The Hill Country State Natural Area and the Medina River are also both within a half-hour drive.

Ample patio furniture welcomes you to the shaded front patio and roomy back deck, and you and yours are invited to enjoy the swimming pool and hot tub out back! A covered parking spot is right next to the house, and all can savor a Texas-style BBQ on the charcoal grill. Round out your exciting day and reminisce with s'mores and conversation around the fire pit. Smokers in your party may do so, but outside only.

The interior here is cozy, cheery, and charming! Homey furniture adorns the living area, as does an electric fireplace. New appliances grace the fully-equipped kitchen, which adjoins a dining area and bar. All glasses, utensils, and cookware are provided, as are fluffy bed and bath linens. There are two full baths, both with showers, and one with a tub and shower combo. Three bedrooms and four beds provide generous and relaxing sleeping accommodations for up to six, and the laundry room has a front-loading washer and dryer. The retreat also has a gaming/computer room, and the entire space is covered by central air and heating and Wifi Internet service. The living area and master bedroom both have cable TV installed, and there's a land line and excellent cell coverage.

Biker Rallies of Texas

Supporting and boosting local businesses and events is at the very heart of what we do at Backroads Reservations! The good folks at Biker Rallies of Texas are the devoted organizers of the most popular motorcycle rallies in the Hill Country. With major rallies in the spring and fall, they work nonstop to assure safety, organization, great memories, and a good time is had by all attending! They’ve got their start in 2000, when they arranged rallies in Liberty County and Kerrville, Texas. Two years later, they found their permanent home in Bandera. Let’s take a look at the two major events they currently host.

Boerne’s Hill Country Mile

In the hustle of modern American life, it’s easy to lose sight of an important cultural fact: it’s difficult to get everything done on your daily to-do list without a car. Too many towns have been designed with outwardly-expanding sectors of commerce that put one business or attraction miles away from another. The larger the size of the town, the more true this adage seems to be.

We snuck away for a couple of days during Spring Break with our 2 teenaged daughters. The house was neat as a pin and very comfortable. The girls enjoyed the hot tub and we all sat around the firepit each evening roasting marshmallows and enjoying each other's company. The kitchen was well equipped for our needs, and we prepared our dinners each evening with ease. The master bath shower is amazing! The location is ideal being close to town in Bandera so the store and shops are nearby. The setting is tranquil -on a large lot and not too close to the neighbors - so you really get the feel of being in the country when you sit out back in the evening. Overall, we had a great stay in this comfortable, attractive home.

If you're looking for a comfortable, well-stocked house close to Bandera, THIS house is for you! There was lots of space and storage throughout the house, along with a fully-stocked kitchen w/ all the cooking utensils, pots/pans, dishes, glasses, spices, and appliances we needed! The bedrooms were large with comfortable beds, as well as dresser and closet space. They also provided plenty of bath linens and even beach towels in the bathrooms, so we didn't have to lug those with us! We spent lots of time outside under the covered patio, in the amazing hot tub, and in the large, beautiful swimming pool. The view from the back patio was awesome and we enjoyed watching the lightning bugs fly around at night! The house was close to town, shopping, restaurants, and even saloons. Plan your stay at Bootlegger's Tavern House while in Bandera! You will not be disappointed.

Stayed at this magnificent home “Bootleggers Tavern” in Bandera over Thanksgiving Weekend. We truly loved the comfort and quietness. It was our second time renting the home and it seemed like we were coming back home. The home has all the amenities we could ask for and more. Everything was perfect and comfortable. We look forward in going back.

We had a wonderful week in the Texas Hill Country at the Bootleggers Tavern- it was the perfect coronavirus escape. Lots of land to social distance and we really enjoyed the private pool and hot tub. As well as the fire pit. Our family absolutely loved it. We can’t thank the private manager and housekeeper enough because they are top notch.
