Biker Rallies of Texas

Supporting and boosting local businesses and events is at the very heart of what we do at Backroads Reservations! The good folks at Biker Rallies of Texas are the devoted organizers of the most popular motorcycle rallies in the Hill Country. With major rallies in the spring and fall, they work nonstop to assure safety, organization, great memories, and a good time is had by all attending! They’ve got their start in 2000, when they arranged rallies in Liberty County and Kerrville, Texas. Two years later, they found their permanent home in Bandera. Let’s take a look at the two major events they currently host.

Boerne’s Hill Country Mile

In the hustle of modern American life, it’s easy to lose sight of an important cultural fact: it’s difficult to get everything done on your daily to-do list without a car. Too many towns have been designed with outwardly-expanding sectors of commerce that put one business or attraction miles away from another. The larger the size of the town, the more true this adage seems to be.

Our stay was lovely! We loved watching the sun come over the hills in the morning. The view of the stars our first night was great. Night 2 was a bit cloudy due to rain earlier in the day, but the rain also created a much-needed break from the July heat, and we got to enjoy the winds sweeping in through the valley. The porch - both itself and the view - is gorgeous. Trees nearby give nice shade to the fire pit area, and I really wished I brought a hammock to hang on them! Kitchen is well stocked with tools etc. AC was great. There are also a couple of fans in a closet that we could have brought out on the porch if we wanted a breeze. I think this place would comfortably sleep 6 (1 on each of the two bunk beds, 2 on each of the 2 large beds). Couple of nitpicks: could use comfier mattresses, and if we had more than 2 people we would have wanted more cozy seating in the living room (the Longhorn chairs aren’t great for lounging, so the couch is it). Would definitely recommend this place!

My friend Kate and I had a wonderful time at Antler House. We hiked both of the main trails, did a fair bit of porch sitting, saw some awesome birds and were able to leave all our cares back home for a few days. I can’t recall the last time I slept so well! So yes, I believe we will be coming back to the Hill Country, I hope very soon. Will be sure to contact you folks for excellent lodging!

What a comfy place to get away and relax. Great place to base out of and explore the Texas Hill Country. The views from High Tower were amazing. Well worth the climb! So neat to see all the animals. Multiple bison and the adorable calf, the elk, oryx and boar. The fireflies and stars from the fire pit were the perfect way to end the day.

Absolutely beautiful place! We went with our adult children for a long weekend and enjoyed it so! The aesthetics of the cabin are perfect! The set up is nice and the kitchen pretty well appointed. (The girls even baked Christmas cookies here!) There is a wraparound porch where you can sit and watch elk, deer, oryx +. The fire pit is a great place to sit around and visit in the evening. There is a great fireplace in the living room as well. Don’t spend all your time in the cabin though...the hiking trails are great and well marked. The kids were a bit faster getting to the top, but we all enjoyed it! I do recommend hiking boots if you go. Some of the footing is a bit loose and it will just make it a bit easier! The ranch is beautiful and conservation efforts are great. All the animals and wildlife are beautiful and well cared for. The owner, Robert Hamilton, is very nice and checked in with us. He was also very knowledgeable and was exceptionally patient with my millions of questions. I can’t say enough positive things about our time here. Would certainly recommend it to anyone who wants to get away! We all are planning a return trip!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Antler house. The kids couldn’t stop talking about the hiking trails and the animals they saw. There was such a peace about the home. Definitely an awesome place.

Beautiful views. Great location for privacy and getting away. Being 30 minutes away from 3 different state parks was a plus!
