Biker Rallies of Texas

Supporting and boosting local businesses and events is at the very heart of what we do at Backroads Reservations! The good folks at Biker Rallies of Texas are the devoted organizers of the most popular motorcycle rallies in the Hill Country. With major rallies in the spring and fall, they work nonstop to assure safety, organization, great memories, and a good time is had by all attending! They’ve got their start in 2000, when they arranged rallies in Liberty County and Kerrville, Texas. Two years later, they found their permanent home in Bandera. Let’s take a look at the two major events they currently host.

Boerne’s Hill Country Mile

In the hustle of modern American life, it’s easy to lose sight of an important cultural fact: it’s difficult to get everything done on your daily to-do list without a car. Too many towns have been designed with outwardly-expanding sectors of commerce that put one business or attraction miles away from another. The larger the size of the town, the more true this adage seems to be.

I was looking for a place to get away from the chaos of Austin and 7 Canyons Ranch and the Treetop cabin was just what I was looking for. All I wanted was to be alone surrounded by nature and walk/hike, rest and reset. This was just what I needed. The exotic deer and sheep and everything else were so amazing that it will make any old hike boring from now on. Also, I was in cat heaven. The accommodations were very comfortable with everything I needed. I slept better than I had in years. I came home ready and refreshed. Thank you to the hosts for sharing their piece of Texas paradise.

What a treasure! This property is absolutely breathtaking. We stayed in the Treehouse cabin. Listening to the days come alive with coffee while watching the sunrise stretch across the hills was amazing. A glass of wine on the porch to watch the sunset too! We explored the trails and took in all the views from the overlook on the Bison trail and felt we had the ranch all to ourselves. It was quiet, away from the city, and I couldn’t have asked for more for our Hill Country weekend getaway. We took the quick drive to Lost Maples for some hiking and came back to a hot shower and relaxing evening. We slept so well, the bed was comfy and the accommodations were warm and inviting. I had a quick question so sent a text as instructed on the check in info and received a response within minutes. So helpful! This place is something you must experience! We will certainly be back!

First, this Tree House is exactly as advertised. The pictures and descriptions are 100% accurate. We chose the place because of the proximity to Lost Maples State Park and because we read that the location had some exotic animals. We also wanted a decent kitchen so that we could eat at home after a long day of hiking. The kitchen is well stocked with silverware, plates, a microwave, toaster, coffee pot and other essentials. The beauty of the place during the Spring cannot be exaggerated. Nature does an incredible job of dressing this place up! As for the bison (7) and the longhorn (2), they came right to our front porch and grazed in close proximity. This is an experience that I will never forget ... in part because I got some great photos. We also saw elk, wild turkeys, a vermillion flycatcher, and two very friendly barn cats. The hike on the property to the top of the Bison Trail was also quite memorable.

Our stay a 7 Canyons was great. The host Mr. Hamilton was friendly and helpful. The property was absolutely beautiful. The Tree House Cottage was clean and comfortable and the abundant wildlife was a positive. The reservation and payment system was great Thanks!

What we liked:. Dark sky, quiet. Well set up and clean. We liked the zoo menagerie of buffalo, zebra, long horns, deer. Wifi was functional. We would definitely like to do this again! What could be better:. Cats thought we should feed them.

My husband and I couldn't have had a better time. Just the ride up to the cabin was awesome with all the longhorns, bison and zebra. We later saw the elk and the deer.. and even some big horn sheep!! The room was perfect, the hosts were very accommodating and so gracious. They were able to provide us with a lot of information on where to go for the best sights. But what else can I say about the place other than just beautiful, quiet and serene!! The best way to recharge and get out and completely away from the city. Our only complaint would be, and its not a big one.. is bring your own lounge chairs for the balcony. They have some on the front deck but are not in the best of shape.
