Property Description

If you're seeking the perfect vacation rental in Bandera-the Cowboy Capital of the World-look no further! The Cabin on the Creek is 100 years old, but is beautifully restored and furnished with modern amenities. The setting is amazing, right on the banks of Winan's Creek, and offers outdoor beauty that only the Texas Hill Country can provide. Its rustic charm and outdoor splendor are nice and private, yet it's located just a few miles from the nightlife, shops and cuisine of Bandera.

The Cabin on the Creek combines a classic Wild West setting-nice and private and remote-but with conveniences and comforts the old Texas folks probably never dreamed of! It's a perfect, peaceful getaway for a family gathering; kids are welcome here, and they love exploring the wide-open spaces! While on the property, you'll never notice that it's close to Bandera-unless you want to head into town and kick your heels up, of course!

The creekside location here makes this rental perfect for fishing and swimming! A horse corral is on-site for those who love horseback riding, and the 300 naturally-preserved acres provide plenty of room for hiking and wildlife appreciation. Well-behaved pets are allowed (please inquire when you book, as pets must be pre-approved), and there's a shaded front porch and huge back deck-complete with patio furniture and picnic table-for winding down and kicking back. While you're outside, slap a steak on the charcoal grill, or enjoy conversation around the fire pit-firewood is included! One note for motorcyclists: there is a dam on the property that often has water on its surface, which can make it very slippery.

The cabin comfortably sleeps up to eight with two bedrooms, a queen bed, two twins, a double, and a queen pull-out sofa in the living area. Central air and heat, along with ceiling fans, provide year-round comfort, and there's an satellite TV for your entertainment. There's also a fully equipped kitchen, complete with cooking and eating utensils, and a bathroom with both tub and shower-and all bed and bath linens are provided. There is no land line phone here and keep in mind that the cell service can be very poor on some carriers.

Biker Rallies of Texas

Supporting and boosting local businesses and events is at the very heart of what we do at Backroads Reservations! The good folks at Biker Rallies of Texas are the devoted organizers of the most popular motorcycle rallies in the Hill Country. With major rallies in the spring and fall, they work nonstop to assure safety, organization, great memories, and a good time is had by all attending! They’ve got their start in 2000, when they arranged rallies in Liberty County and Kerrville, Texas. Two years later, they found their permanent home in Bandera. Let’s take a look at the two major events they currently host.

Boerne’s Hill Country Mile

In the hustle of modern American life, it’s easy to lose sight of an important cultural fact: it’s difficult to get everything done on your daily to-do list without a car. Too many towns have been designed with outwardly-expanding sectors of commerce that put one business or attraction miles away from another. The larger the size of the town, the more true this adage seems to be.

My family and I had a wonderful time. The pond is full of fish to catch. It’s quiet but full of wild life. We saw several deer even a pair of Zebras! The floor is a bit slanted but but the place is a 100 plus years old. If you head into town I highly suggest stopping too get some blueberry sausages from the local butcher shop!

The place was a bit rustic but nice. It was clean and the bath/shower worked well. The country appeal was most enjoyable with white tailed deer and Axis deer out back of the cabin every morning and evening. We even had wild turkey near the cabin strutting around in full fanning display! The owners stopped by to make sure all was well and they were very friendly people. It was a very quiet place to stay ...out of the hustle and bustle. The floors leaned a little but the place is very old. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to get away!

Spencer was a huge help...our 1st resv. had to cancel due to possible Covid exposure...Spencer gave us other options that were exactly what we were looking for...Back Roads will find you what you want!

Cute, country cabin - Very peaceful and excellent access to the water! Definitely a family favorite!

Incredible location, right by the creek with lots of fish. The property is beautiful. The house is OLD. Very quaint. One side of the house is sinking so the kitchen and bedroom are tilted. The one shower and toilet were a bit of challenge for 7 of us but we got along. we really enjoyed our stay. Close to Bandera but feels like you are nowhere. We will go back.
Mark
The cabin was very clean and just as described. We had everything we needed to have a great break from the city. The creek and the property are amazing! We hope to visit again later in the year to swim in the creek. The location is perfect for exploring the area. We visited Camp Verde, Utopia, Boerne as well as Bandera.
